Plyometric training is a methodology.  It is a style of training designed to exploit various sensor, receptor, and mini brains positioned deep inside muscles, tendons, and ligaments that act together to contribute to power initiation.  This style of training has a goal to reach the maximum strength in a short time frame while improving acceleration, explosive power, and balance.
